Senior Film on Vimeo!

^Link to Vimeo^

I was advised that my film should definitely see the light of day. :)  This final render is thanks to the 3D teachers in my department. Without them, this would never be possible.

Senior Film Rough Cut

^Link to Vimeo^

This is a rough cut for my senior film. I will be adding a bomb drop and a nuclear explosion this weekend, and it will all be compiled in Nuke so I can get some more experience with that. Some scenes with their textures missing or just messed up are being re-rendered right now.

Sound will be added by Monday as well, and I am going to work on that within the next few hours. :)

Vulture again

This is the wing, updated. There are so many problems with this (such as the bottom part of the wing, you can see bits and pieces of the feathers on the bottom but not the whole thing). I would like to redo this completely and change my approach, but at the moment I don't have time for that. At least I got the wing to look as I originally intended.

Update

Senior project lighting tests. The girls are rigged and being animated at the moment, where they are fully clothed and texture. Once I put it all together any color correction will be done in post.

ZombieGirl

She doesn't have a real name yet, but she is the counterpart to a previous character. The story for both then, is that chickens and roosters come down with a new type of rabies. It causes them to go crazy and attack all those in sight. Unfortunately, when they attack humans, they contract this disease. Thus, it becomes an obscure zombie apocalypse that involves chickens, roosters, and humans. And possibly other animals. She is fairly decent with knives to protect herself, but she really enjoys explosives. I liked her with big poofy pigtails, but I thought it'd be neat to put her hair in a bun with pins that are bones, referencing the skull and crossbones. So maybe she'll just get bored and put her hair in different styles. :D I like that. The hooks on her arm are there so she can pull the pin on the grenades if one hand is also fighting off zombies or crazy chickens with her machete.

The figure with the bird skull helmet is a character I had come up with awhile ago. He used to have a farm with chickens. Now it's left bare and empty due to the breakout.

Both characters need proper names.

V-V-Vulture!

These things are HUGE. I bet some have grown big enough to be mistaken for the Thunderbird. Seeing turkey vultures up close and hearing their wings flap at take-off (and from quite a distance), I can understand why. It's frightening, bizarre, and amazing at the same time.

Also, talons belonging to big birds like these vultures and bigger owls can pierce right through your hand. Just one of those things I don't think about first. I should keep this in mind if I come across a turkey vulture again.

P.S. This is work in progress. I want the feathers to be individual meshes as well, so they can stick off the body and wings. This will bring the wings to their full, proper size.
